In plain english

What sponsorship actually means here

You put money or product into the competition. In return your business gets named and seen — on the website, across social media through the whole comp, on signage and merchandise, and in front of 1,000+ people at presentation day. Bigger packages get bigger billing. That's the whole idea.

It's run by the Frankston Bombers Football Club and Reedy's Rigs together — a footy club and a tackle brand — to give Victorian fishos something proper to look forward to every spring. Your money goes into the prize pool, running the day, and back to the club. You get a tax invoice, and it's a marketing spend like any other.

1

Call or email

Tell us your business and roughly what you want to spend. Two minutes on the phone sorts most of it.

2

Pick a package

Choose one below, or we'll build something around what you've got — cash, product or both.

3

Invoice & logo

We send a tax invoice, you send a logo file. That's everything we need from you.

4

You're in

Your branding goes onto the site, the socials, the artwork and the presentation day.

Cut-off

Branding locks for artwork, signage and merchandise on 20 September 2026. After that we can still take you on, but your logo won't make the printed gear.

Who already backs this

These aren't one-off sponsors. They keep coming back, comp after comp.

Compleat Angler Dandenong

George at Compleat Angler Dandenong has been a major sponsor of every competition we've run — both Lord of the Snapper comps, Two Bays in 2025, and Two Bays again this year. Four comps, four times backing it, no fuss and no complaints. He's running a full event sale at presentation day on top of that. If you want to know whether sponsoring this works, he's the one to ask.

Melbourne Marine Centre & Mercury Australia

Between them they've put up the $22,499 Stacer 429 Rampage boat package — Melbourne Marine on the boat, Mercury on the engine. Melbourne Marine are also bringing four boat packages to presentation day and $1,000 in shop vouchers, with the Mercury display van onsite for the day.

Corporate Team Entry

EnquirePriced on the standard team entry plus a naming premium

Enter a team under your business name and it sits on the public leaderboard for the whole competition. The easiest way for a local business to back the event.

How it appears

Team [Your Business]on the live leaderboard
  • Your business name on the live leaderboard all week
  • Named in the published final results
  • Read out at the presentation if you place
  • Team entries included for your crew
  • Still eligible for every individual prize

Leaderboard and results only — not a cash sponsor package

Naming is cosmetic only. A sponsored team or division gets no advantage of any kind — same rules, same scoring, same scrutiny as everyone else. The competition has to stay straight or none of this is worth anything.

Another way in

Stands and banners on presentation day

Not every brand wants a cash package. If your product suits the crowd, put it — or your name — in front of them instead.

Who it suits

Tackle, marine, boating, camping, 4WD, outdoor gear, food vans, charters, clubs — anything an angler or their family would stop and look at. 1,000+ people are expected through the gate on Sunday 8 November, and they're there for the day, not five minutes.

What you get

Stand space on the ground for the full day, 11:00am to 5:00pm, listed on the presentation day page and named in the run of the day. Sizes and positions vary — the marine displays and the Compleat Angler sale area are already set, so it's worth talking early.

Banner placement

Your signage on the fence line facing the crowd, or up on the main stage behind every prize presentation, every giveaway and every photo taken all day. The stage banners are the ones that end up in the winner shots — and those get shared for weeks afterwards.

How it works

Positions and pricing depend on size, placement and whether you're supplying your own banner or need one made. It's not one-size-fits-all, so it's a conversation rather than a price tag. Have a chat with David and he'll work out what suits. Limited positions, and the stage backdrop is the one that goes first.

Before you ask

Sponsorship questions

Who sees my brand?

Victorian boat owners and fishing families across Port Phillip Bay, Western Port and the Mornington Peninsula — people who buy tackle, boats, outboards, fuel and gear. The numbers are at the top of this page.

Is sponsorship tax deductible?

Every cash sponsorship comes with a tax invoice. Sponsorship is generally treated as a marketing expense rather than a donation, but check with your accountant for your own situation.

What if I'd rather give product than cash?

Plenty of partners do. The listed packages are cash only, but product and in-kind support is welcome and we'll put together a custom arrangement. Get in touch and we'll work it out.

Can I get exclusivity in my category?

Yes, at the Presenting Partner level and on division naming rights. Below that, positions aren't exclusive — though we keep an eye on how many direct competitors sit in the same tier.

When do I need to commit?

The earlier the better. Branding gets locked into artwork, signage and merchandise well before the competition opens on 30 October, and the best positions go first.

Where does the money actually go?

Into the prize pool, running the competition and the presentation day, and back to the Frankston Bombers Football Club. This is a community event, not a commercial one.

The Two Bays Snapper Challenge is one of Victoria's largest recreational snapper competitions, running across Port Phillip Bay and Western Port each spring. Sponsorship puts your business in front of an engaged Victorian fishing audience for the full competition window and the presentation day that follows — whether you're a marine dealer, tackle retailer, boat or outboard supplier, charter operator, or a local business that wants to back the community. Hosted by Reedy's Rigs and the Frankston Bombers Football Club.

Let's talk

Position your brand alongside one of Victoria's biggest fishing competitions, and connect directly with anglers, families and the wider fishing community.

or enquire via the contact page

Send this to someone →

You'll be dealing with David, a volunteer at the Frankston Bombers Club who looks after sponsorship, or Brett Reed, who founded Reedy's Rigs in 2008. The two of us run this together — the club and the tackle brand — to give Victorian fishos something proper to look forward to every spring. No agency, no account manager. One phone call and it's sorted.

Know a business that should back this?

Send it to them. Most sponsors come from someone passing it on.
