The Competition Lord of the Snapper 2026 - Victoria's Premier Fishing Competition
The hardest snapper competition in Victoria · 1–31 July 2026
Lord of the Snapper is Victoria's winter fishing competition held across Port Phillip Bay and Western Port for the entire month of July. Anglers compete to catch the longest snapper, earning the title along with cash and sponsor prizes.
In 2025, 389 competitors entered and the event was viewed by over 2 million people on Reedy's page alone. For 2026, a new King George Whiting division has been added.
At the end of July, everyone comes together for a presentation afternoon — winners announced, prizes handed over, stories shared.
