Two Bays Snapper Challenge 2026 is Victoria's spring snapper competition across Port Phillip Bay and Western Port. Submit your longest snapper via Track My Fish and go in the Lucky Prize Draw — and new for 2026, take on the Team and Club Challenges.
Hosted by Reedy's Rigs and the Frankston Bombers Football Club — a community event that raises funds for the club.

How to enter
Four steps. You can fish from a boat, a pier, a beach or a kayak — anywhere inside Port Phillip Bay or Western Port.

One entry covers the whole nine-day window. Every Open entry goes into the Lucky Prize Draw.
Get the app
Download Track My Fish for Tournaments — free, and it's the only way to submit a fish. Set it up before the comp opens.
Go fishing
Fish any time from 12:01am Friday 30 October until 11:59pm Saturday 7 November. Nine days to pick your tides and weather.
Submit your snapper
Lay it on a brag mat with the daily code visible, take a clear top-down photo, upload it. Your longest fish stands.

Every entrant goes in the draw for major prizes — you can win regardless of what you catch. Drawn on presentation day, so be there.
New for 2026
Team & Club Challenges
Two new ways to compete, running alongside the individual competition. You're still in for every individual prize either way.
Team Challenge
Fish with your mates as a team of 2 to 5. Your team's 4 longest snapper get added together and the biggest total wins. Those four can come from any team member — and every fish still counts toward your own individual result.
Club Challenge
Represent your fishing club against clubs from right across Victoria in the inaugural Club Challenge. Every eligible capture adds to your club's total, with the Club Challenge trophy and the bragging rights that come with it on the line.
The Team Challenge rules and Club Challenge rules are both live — you have to read them before you can enter either one.

Not just an awards ceremony
The whole ground turns into a fishing and boating expo to close out the competition. Boats on display, a tackle sale running all day, guest talks on the main stage, the kids sorted — then the prize presentations, and a $22,499 Stacer 429 Rampage boat package drawn last thing.

The names on the trophy
More than 500 anglers entered the first Two Bays Snapper Challenge. One walked away with a hand-made fibreglass snapper trophy.
The trophy
Each championship trophy is a handcrafted fibreglass snapper, individually made and hand painted by taxidermist Ros Farrugia. No two are the same — same as no two winning stories are. It's the one thing every angler in this comp is actually chasing.

Place the fish on a branded brag mat with the daily code visible, take a clear top-down photo, and submit via Track My Fish. Your longest snapper stands.
Built for Port Phillip Bay and Western Port, the event awards Open, Junior and Young Guns divisions, the new Club and Team Challenges, plus a Lucky Prize Draw so everyone has a chance to win — even if you don't land a donkey.

Why fish two bays in spring?
Spring brings classic snapper conditions to Melbourne. In Port Phillip Bay, edges and rubble patches fire when currents align; in Western Port, tidal flow and channels set bite windows. The window lets you pick safer weather, plan around moon and tide, and maximise your shot.

Two Bays runs on its sponsors, and the money goes into the prize pool, the presentation day and the Frankston Bombers Football Club. Over 50 businesses backed the 2025 comp. Packages start at $500 and run up to naming rights on the whole event.
