Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron
Beaumaris Motor
Yacht Squadron
Your snapper fishing home base on Port Phillip Bay.
We're proud to have Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron (BMYS) on board for Lord of the Snapper 2026. A few mates and I headed down recently, had a meal and a proper look through the facilities — and honestly, it's a mint setup, especially if you chase snapper around Port Phillip Bay.
Right on the bay, made for fishos
BMYS sits right on Beaumaris Bay with uninterrupted views over Port Phillip Bay — and it's got the lot. You can launch, fish, clean up properly, grab a feed and have a beer with your mates, all in the one spot.
- Boat ramp
- Fish cleaning
- Boat washing
- BBQ area
- Members bar
- Keefer's Bistro
If you fish bayside Melbourne, the location is hard to beat. Whether you launch out of Beaumaris itself or trailer in from Black Rock, Sandringham, Hampton, Cheltenham, Highett, Mentone, Parkdale or Mordialloc, it's a short run to some of the most productive snapper grounds in the bay.
July access for competitors
For Lord of the Snapper competitors, BMYS has kindly offered a July access opportunity as part of the comp. There's a short induction and key fob setup involved — I'll walk you through all of it in the video below.
The BMYS walkthrough and access details.
Membership for bayside locals
Local to Beaumaris, Sandringham or Mentone, or just fish that side of the bay? It's well worth a look at their membership options. BMYS offers both boating and social memberships — you can check the latest prices directly on their website.
