Lord of the Snapper is a Victorian winter fishing competition running throughout July across Port Phillip Bay and Western Port. While the name celebrates snapper, the competition also includes a King George Whiting category, making it one of Victoria’s most exciting winter fishing competitions. Reedy’s Rigs also runs the Two Bays Snapper Challenge — widely regarded as the biggest snapper competition currently running in Victoria. Lord of the Snapper is the winter edition and proudly sits as one of the major fishing competitions in the state. — 📏 Official Brag Mat Weigh-In Rules To submit a fish, you MUST follow these rules: ✅ Fish must be measured on the official Lord of the Snapper brag mat ✅ Fish must be placed with nose firmly against the zero marker ✅ Tail must be clearly visible ✅ Measurement numbers must be readable ✅ Full fish must be in frame (no cropped tails or heads) ✅ One clear, straight-down photo (no heavy angles) If the numbers aren’t clear, the fish cannot be approved.
